On June 2nd 1740, a man was born who would forever change how we view human sexuality. Often hailed as "the freest spirit who ever existed", the Marquis de Sade considered the pursuit of personal pleasure as being the highest principle, and ultimately gave his name to the term we now embrace as "sadism". As a tribute to this significant date in history, 1740 Dungeon & Social Club is now operating as a private, members-only establishment in Wichita, Kansas. 1740 Dungeon & Social Club is now hosting regularly scheduled events every weekend. We will also present a number of special events throughout the year, which will range from themed parties, to day long educational seminars.
